Saas Needs to Do Better with Data Recovery

Whenever people talk about SaaS, or Service as Software, they always think of the internet and the endless bounds of opportunity, waiting for someone who can control that force and turn it into something profitable. The internet is a place of endless possibilities, and it hasn’t ceased to impress us. Service as a software or better known as SaaS, is a platform that most successful companies use today. With all the positive remarks about using SaaS, there are still a handful of people who question its credibility. One of these doubts would be about its data recovery system. Does SaaS need to do something about it?

Technology has taken virtually everything to the cloud. Even the management system of companies today is often managed on the internet. It makes it easier for company executives to carry out the role of their jobs anywhere and anytime of the day. But it comes with a price.

Literally, it comes with a price. For a specific space of what you need, companies are forced to pay depending on the space they need in order to run their company more efficiently. Come to think of it, paying for a certain secured space on the internet is cheaper than having a physical office and having real people running it round-the-clock.

But despite all the payments made by a company prior to buying SaaS, it still turns out to be something incomplete. The satisfaction is still left half-full. This is because reports lately have been talking about SaaS companies that are not delivering 100% to their clients.

This is due to the fact that some companies today are having problems with the data recovery scheme of some SaaS providers in the market. With information and data storage as their main selling point, it would be really hard for SaaS providers to actually convince people that they do not need to worry about anything.

A Better Option for Businesses

Before SaaS came into the scene, it would be normal to see data recovery centers all around the globe. Companies would rather pay for the physical demands of a company than put everything on the internet. SaaS isn’t really the problem here; there are just some people that are having a bad day. SaaS, like all other softwares that exist today, is not a 100% fail-proof.

Instead of leaving it all in the hands of a SaaS provider, an existing company that considers data to be valuable should always keep it in mind to backup vital information. Using services that can easily be monitored and customized, SaaS is indeed a valuable asset to any company running today.

But that doesn’t mean that a company should scrap all physical hardware and go 100% cloud; that can be really scary. Physical memory can beat any problem regarding data recovery and safety. Instead of leaving it all to the promises of the “best data recovery system”, you need to make sure that your company has the ability to recover data independently. Every company today needs a good backup plan in case something happens. In order to do better with data recovery, make sure that you have a good physical server, a great IT team and top-of-the-line SaaS data backup provider.
